Advantages of using a junk removal service

One question that’s often asked is, “why should I call a junk removal service?” The underlying assumption being that you may as well do the work yourself or ask a friend to help. Hey, we’re not against either one of those, but in this blog post, we’d like to try and convince you that there’s more advantages than disadvantages to letting our junk removal service do the work for you!

1. Heavy lifting Let’s cut right to the chase, some stuff can be tough to maneuver! Who hasn’t struggled moving a large object with a friend before? Even if strength isn’t the issue, some objects can be large and awkward, the unexperienced handler could do more harm than good! However, if you’ve got it, our employees have seen it and tossed it. Why risk damaging your house and back, when you could just use a junk removal service? If your answer is, “money,” and I imagine that it is, please see section 5!

2. Proper tools The weight isn’t the only issue, some items can’t be moved easily because of their sheer size. For example, we help people remove hot tubs all of the time – not everybody has the tools or the time to cut a hot tub into pieces! Not everyone has a dolly, not everyone has a wheelbarrow – we’ve got all of the above & more. We’ve had large jobs that required an excavator – I’d wager you haven’t got one of those sitting in your garage! If you outsource the work to a junk removal service like ours, we’ve got to figure out how to get that stuff out of there instead of you!

3. Unpleasantness Whether it’s something organic that’s past its expiration date, or it’s come out of the back end of an animal, we’ve dealt with it. We’ve worked in all the least pleasant elements, be it rain or shine, summer or winter, we’re happy to work in it. So, even if we’d have to wear hefty jackets and a hazmat suit, we want to handle it for you. Why not leave the unpleasant stuff to a junk removal service, while you kick back and have a cold one?

4. Disposal Very often, customers have a variety of things they want to get rid of. Depending on where you go to dump them, it may be disadvantageous or even impossible to dump them all at once. Say that you’ve got yard debris and some sort of construction material or metal, as often happens after some home renovations are done. The yard debris would be most cost-effectively dumped at an organic recycling center, but that may be a far drive, and then you would have to go somewhere separate to dump the construction material. So, maybe you’ll choose to dump it all in the same place; where do you take it? Maybe the facility closest to you charges by the yard – hopefully you don’t have a whole mess of very light branches and leaves that take up a lot of room! Or maybe you take it to a place that charges by weight – I sure hope that there’s no dirt or heavy rocks in the mix! If you don’t frequent the local dumps, it can seem like prices are largely unpredictable – that’s unpleasant, and as we’ve already discussed, we want to handle the unpleasant stuff for you!

This section focused on disposal complications as they relate to cost, but that’s not to discount all the times you’ll find that you simply aren’t allowed to dispose of things at the facility you go to. Some won’t accept electronics, some won’t accept chemicals, etc. Once we’ve loaded the stuff, it’s our responsibility! For simplicity’s sake, let a junk removal service figure it out, so you don’t have to!

5. Cost Disposing of junk is never free and can get very pricy very quickly, especially where we live. According to a 2019 survey by Statista, the Pacific region has the highest average costs for municipal solid waste in the United States, 31.9% higher than the national average. However, we have never and will never add a dump fee to your estimate. The price we give you always has the dump fee included, so if the disposal cost is more than we anticipated, we take the hit.
